Tenor saxophonist and Royal Academy Of Music jazz graduate, Sam Miles, delves into the music and life of tenor sax giant Stan Getz at this dinner and jazz event, hosted by Gonville Hotel, in collaboration with repmusic and Cambridge Modern Jazz Club.
The performance follows Sam’s passion for the music of saxophone legend Stan Getz, one of the main proponents of West Coast Jazz and hugely involved in the spreading of Bossa Nova to the USA and the rest of the world in the 1960s.
This performance will include tunes from classic albums such as Stan Getz With The Oscar Peterson Trio and Stan Getz Live At Storyville, as well as some of his classic West Coast and Bossa Nova material.
