What can you our valued customer do to help ?

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Switch off any unneeded electrical appliances and in particular please turn off ALL the lights when you leave the room and not leave the TV on standby.
  • Ensure that you do not have the heating/air conditioning on with the window open.
  • Do not leave water taps running when you are not using the water. There is a chilled drinking water machine on the ground floor by the cloakroom.
  • Use the shower rather than the bath – This potentially can reduce the water consumed by half
  • If possible leave your car in our car park and walk or take public transport to your destination. Reception can advise you of times for buses and trains as well as recommend shops where bicycles can be hired.
  • Do not put newspapers, paper, cardboard or glass, that can be recycled, in the bin in your room. We would ask that you place these items in the bins provided by the lift on the 1st and 2nd floor or by reception.
  • Wherever possible use the stairs rather than the lift.
  • Bed linen and towels are usually changed every 2 or 3 days depending upon your length of stay.
  • Although we supply items such as tissues, toilet rolls and other toiletries we ask that you consider using them sparingly. We do recycle used soap.

Smoking is a health hazard and compromises guests safety. In particular disposal of cigarette ends is of great concern as we continually find these on our flat roofs causing damage to the covering and A VERY HIGH RISK OF FIRE. We would ask you to respect the Health and Safety of others by ONLY smoking in the designated area which is located in the hotel gardens.
